Public Health Educator

The CAFG medical camp is not just about treating existing ailments, but about preventing future ones from occurring. Educating the village on topics such as malaria control, personal hygiene, reproductive health, HIV/AIDS prevention, and nutritional best practices help to mitigate their occurrence, and having an educator on staff dedicated to counseling and teaching patients is critical to CAFG’s mission.

Volunteer Requirements:

  • Required documents  and paperwork for registration to acquire a temporary practicing license from Medical Professional Councils of Uganda

  • 2+ years of professional experience in the field

  • Basic English language skills

  • Some HIV/AIDS knowledge

  • Experience working with diverse populations

  • Knowledge and skills working in a team effort

  • Must maintain confidentiality regarding organization and constituent information

  • Interest in international development

  • Must bring own computer

  • Must commit to raising $2049.00 for program cost
